Photomath app

The Photomath app processes the image it captures and get the equations in the photo by some image processing algorithms. Now when you have equations you simply need to write algorithms to solve those equations. The latter part is easier but for the first you need to have deep understanding in image processing

How does Photomath work?

1. OCR: The app uses optical character recognition to convert images to text/string. There are several libraries available for this.
2. Detect math operations: From the string it identifies mathematical operations, numbers etc. Here again you can use mathematical operations glossary. Not sure if any ready made libraries are available though.
3. Show result: Mathematical operations are done and result shown.
