What is an ideal laptop?
I am pretty certain that almost every university in the country offers MS Office online free while in college. And since you will almost always be working in a location with WiFi, you will likely save all your work in the cloud.
In college, you want something light and easy to carry and travel with. Stick with around a 14″ screen and an SSD drive. Don’t worry about having a big drive in the laptop. And you probably will not need any touch or tablet capabilities for what you are using it for.
If you want, you can then get a bigger monitor, keyboard, mouse, and external drive to set up on your desk when at home. Then you just plug the laptop into the monitor and the drive/keyboard/mouse into the USB of the laptop and you have a bigger workstation. Best of both worlds.
The ideal laptop:
- Doesn’t have a built-in missile launcher.
- Is made of aluminium.
- Has black keys.
- Has a PCIe SSD.
- Doesn’t have a touchscreen.
- Has an Apple Logo.
- Has a black non-removable battery.
- Has few vents for a cooling system that hardly works.
- Runs MacOS.
- Is at least 12″.
- Has a display.
- Comes in a white box.
- Has gray ports.
- Comes with a gray charging cable.
