Did Elon Musk Create Bitcoin? This Former SpaceX Intern Thinks So
Elon Musk Says That He Didn’t Invent Bitcoin
Elon Musk is often credited with being the biggest tech visionary of the twenty-first century by his fans and while his critics beg to differ, even they grudgingly admit that the man knows how how to take his message to the masses. Whether he is a great visionary or a highly skilled salesman may be up for debate, but the media simply can’t seem to have enough of him, which is why a recent claim from a person who describes himself as a former SpaceX intern has generated a lot of attention this week. According to Sahil Gupta, Elon Musk is the creator of the world’s preeminent Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin.
We all know very well that the world’s first cryptocurrency, which was designed by Satoshi Nakamoto. However, it is not known who this person is. Hence, after the rise of fake rumours Elon Musk has finally confirmed that he is not the creator of Bitcoin.
Elon Musk Says That He Didn’t Invent Bitcoin
Bitcoin, the world’s first cryptocurrency, which was designed by Satoshi Nakamoto. However, it is not known who this person is. There have been several suspects over the years, and some have self-proclaimed as such, but it is not confirmed.
One of the characters who has been attributed to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto is Elon Musk, current CEO of SpaceX, the company that wants to take us to Mars and Tesla, the vehicle manufacturer that is revolutionizing the electric car market.
The truth is that it does not sound so legit because apart from Tesla and SpaceX, he has also founded PayPal (the most famous and used online payment platform in the world, which was sold to eBay), Hyperloop, SolarCity, The Boring Company, Neuralink and OpenAI. In short, we could say that he is one of the most important people of this century.
Gupta’s theory has already found takers among many conspiracy theorists around the world. That’s because no one knows for certain who actually wrote the original 2008 Bitcoin paper that eventually formed the base for the cryptocurrentcy revolution that we’re experiencing today. While it was said to be written by someone called ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’, it’s widely understood to be the pseudonym for a person or persons who have, up until now, chosen to stay away from public glare for one reason or another. According to Gupta, the paper was written by someone “with a deep understanding of economics and cryptography”, both of which Musk possesses. Musk is also known to be highly proficient in C++, the language Bitcoin was written in. According to Gupta,
“Experience aside, Elon is a self-taught polymath. He’s repeatedly innovated across fields by reading books on a subject and applying the knowledge. It’s how he built rockets, invented the Hyperloop and could have invented Bitcoin”.
Gupta also points to a 2014 tweet from Musk where he makes a tongue-in-cheek reference to the fictitious Satoshi Nakamoto, as proof that Musk is probably the enigmatic character himself.
Musk does not usually talk about it
Elon Musk has rarely spoken about Bitcoin. If you want to hide something, the best way not to talk about it. Although that is also very suspicious because most of the technological personalities have positioned themselves on this issue.
He even claimed not to have Bitcoins. How can it be that Elon has not invested in Bitcoin, knowing its potential? Everything points to what is a lie, and why lie but to hide that you are the creator?
Negative statements
Very few times he has spoken in public about Bitcoin, he has stated that Bitcoin is “something probably good”, but that by its nature it is meant to be used in illegal acts. We might think that he has said it to disguise, but the creator of Bitcoin would never claim anything that could lower the price of the cryptocurrency.
As we see, there are good arguments to think about it, but at the same time, there are also more than enough arguments to think otherwise. Until the true creator comes to light and demonstrates it with facts, Shatoshi will remain an unknown.
However, at least Elon Musk itself has now confirmed that he is not the creator of Bitcoin. Here is what he stated via his twitter profile “Not true. A friend sent me part of a BTC a few years, but I don’t know where it is.”
Elon Musk is a celebrity geek, revered code jock and billionaire entrepreneur like no other, credited with being the brains behind some of the most interesting and talked-about tech projects in the twenty-first century, but saying that he is actually the creator of Bitcoins is probably taking it one step too far.
