Vivo Launches V7 Plus Energetic Blue Color Variant in India
In September this year, Vivo officially unveiled the all-new Vivo V7 Plus (Vivo 1716) at an event held in Mumbai. Its younger sibling, Vivo V7 is expected to be launched in the coming months. Talking about the V7 Plus, it looks like trimmed down variant of the last year’s Vivo V5 Plus which featured a dual selfie camera setup. While the V7 Plus lacks the dual camera setup on the front, it got a new USP to attract the Indian offline customers.
It sports a 5.99-inch FullView IPS display on the front with a long 18:9 aspect ratio and thinner bezels on the sides. Unlike the Galaxy S8 or the LG V30, the Vivo V7 Plus doesn’t have any rounded corners. Even the resolution is only limited to HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels). There is a 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 laid on the top to protect the FullView display. Under the hood is the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and comes coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The Snapdragon 450 SoC is the liter variant of the Snapdragon 625 SoC which powered the V5 Plus.
The V7 Plus offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage additionally up to 256GB. It supports dual SIM dual standby and offers 4G VoLTE connectivity. Coming to the cameras, the V7 Plus sports a 16MP sensor on the rear with f/2.0 aperture and a whopping 24MP sensor on the front with the same f/2.0 aperture. Both the front and rear cameras come accompanied with LED flash. The device also features a dedicated AK4376A audio chip that offers Hi-Fi audio output.
The smartphone is backed by a 3,225mAh non-removable battery but misses the fast charging support. On the connectivity front, it supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, USB OTG, GPS, FM Radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. The fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear of the device. There are also a bunch of sensors including Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, e-compass, and a Gyroscope. It comes in Matte Black and Champagne Gold color options.
As teased earlier, Vivo has officially launched the Vivo V7 Plus smartphone in India. It is priced at Rs. 21,990 and is exclusively sold online through Amazon India. The device is currently available to pre-order, and the sales begin from November 15th. Amazon is also offering an additional discount of Rs. 2,000 if purchased through an exchange. The users will also receive two movie tickets for free from Bookmyshow and 50GB of 4G data (10GB/month for 5 months) from Vodafone.
Vivo is also bundling a one-time screen replacement offer with a validity of 12 months for free with every purchase. The device still runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. The specifications of the Energetic Blue variant remains same as on the earlier launched Gold & Black color variants. Just like the Matte Black variant, the new Blue color also comes with a Black front panel. The company is also expected to launch the Vivo V7 smartphone in the coming weeks.
