What is the coolest thing you can do using Linux that you can’t do with Windows or on a Mac?
I’ve been using Linux as my daily driver for two years. I had a little experience with it before that too. Here’s why I am not going to Windows or Mac any time soon.
- Freedom.
I do what I want. Nothing gets in between me and what I want to do. Nobody is there to say that I can’t do something. If I want to download an application and see its source code to learn how it works, I can do it. - Hardware requirements.
I can take old computers nobody uses anymore, and use them with Linux. No lag, no viruses, and no nonsense. This is why I use a Raspberry Pi 3 as my main computer. - No nonsense.
I don’t need to fumble with shit like Windows Defender. I am king, and everything else is secondary. You choose what to do; not a task manager. - Feel nerdy at your command.
When you want to look and feel like a nerd, ctrl+T, and start typing in commands. Your friends give you the respect a nerd deserves.
- customizability.
Linux is the only OS where you can take this
and convert it into this.- …All that with no impact on performance.
- Linux is also the only desktop operating system that is free… Other than DOS, of course. You can pick which one to use.
Linux is an awesome operating system once you learn to use it.
