Why are Apple iPhones so costly? Answer Request

Comparatively, the iPhone is a very affordable phone.

When you buy an iPhone, you are buying not only a phone, but an experience.
When you pay for an iPhone, you pay for:
  • Well built hardware.
  • 5 years of well put-together software.
  • Pre-release testing.
  • Marketing.
  • Apple’s profit margins.
  • Tax.
  • After sales service (Apple Care).
  • Apple store rent.
  • In-box accessories.
  • Apple branding.
  • And that didn’t even cover all of it. There are multiple microtransactions made while purchasing an iPhone.
Other than that, iPhones wouldn’t sell if they weren’t priced high.
psychologically, people value expensive things more. Apple has a brand image of making overpriced premium electronics. If the iPhone was $200, less people would buy it because it would just have less value in the minds of people.
This is more commonly known as Apple Tax.
If you find the price of an iPhone higher than it should be, then you aren’t in Apple’s targeted audience. If so, either buy a last generation iPhone, an iPhone SE, or an Android phone.
