Flipkart, the leading e-commerce player in India has launched quite a few private label brands in the past. The Billon is the latest brand from Flipkart, and we have already seen Billion branded home appliances, cookware, and clothing. Now, the company is entering the highly competitive smartphone market. Next week, Flipkart will be launching its first ever smartphone called as Billion Capture+.

It also comes with a “Made in India” tag as the device is designed and manufactured in India. The listing already confirmed the device to come with a metal unibody design. On the rear, the Billion Capture+ sports a dual camera setup featuring an RGB sensor and Monochrome sensor. There is also a single selfie camera and a Full HD display on the front. Both the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge of the device.

We can also spot the circular fingerprint sensor on the rear. The Billion Capture+ runs on Android Nougat out of the box with Pure Andriod UI on top. It will also receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update in the near future. Flipkart also set up 130 service centers across 125 cities and towns across India for the Billion smartphones. The smartphone also supports Quick Charge and offers unlimited cloud storage.

The Billion Capture+ will be available in 32GB and 64GB storage variants priced at Rs. 10,999 and Rs. 12,999 respectively. Amazon, the global e-commerce giant, miserably failed with its first ever smartphone, the Fire phone launched way back in 2014. It never returned back to the smartphone market, even though the company still sells the Fire tablet.
The Billion Capture+ will be competing with the other dual camera smartphones like Xiaomi Mi A1 and Motorola Moto G5s Plus which are priced around Rs. 15,000. Again, the first model from Flipkart would cost you Rs 10,999 getting you a dual-camera setup at a very competitive price. You can read more about the Phone on Flipkart.
