Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) Smartphone with Infinity Display Spotted Online
In February this year, LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8 are launched with the edge-to-edge displays and longer aspect ratios. While LG quickly introduced the FullVision displays with the 18:9 aspect ratio in the mid-range segment by launching LG Q6 smartphones, Samsung is yet to launch any mid-range Galaxy Smartphone with Infinity displays. If the latest leaks are to be believed, then the 2018 Galaxy A smartphones will be featuring the Infinity displays with 18.5:9 aspect ratio. A new Samsung device with the model number SM-A530F is now spotted on HTML5test website
The device which is expected to be the Galaxy A5 (2018) and is revealed to come with a display with 18.5:9 longer aspect ratio and a resolution of 846 by 412 pixels. The aspect ratio seems to be on the same lines as the earlier leaks, but we expect the resolution to be at least Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels). The Infinity displays on the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8 Plus, and Galaxy Note 8 came with Quad HD+ (2960 × 1440 pixels) resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
As seen on its predecessors, the 2018 Galaxy A devices might also sport Super AMOLED panels. Even though the Android 8.0 Oreo is already released, these upcoming devices will be still coming with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. The device might also continue to come with glass back body with IP68 certification and Samsung Pay support. We also expect the company to add wireless charging support for the 2018 Galaxy A devices.
With all these features, the devices will also be priced slightly on a premium side. The earlier benchmark listings revealed the Galaxy A5 (2018) to come powered by the in-house Exynos 7885 octa-core processor and 4GB of RAM. The device might also offer 32GB/64GB of internal storage along with with a MicroSD card slot for further expansion of storage up to 256GB. As of now, there is no official information about the upcoming Galaxy A devices. Stay tuned on PhoneRadar for more details!
